Match Rules

1. Each team will field at least 7 players. A team with fewer players will forfeit the match.
2. Each game will be a one-innings game with 16 overs per innings.
3. Play Balls
   1. CAP will provide only match balls. It is the team’s responsibility to bring playing equipment.
   2. A new ball will be provided to each team.
   3. In case a ball is lost, a replacement ball will be provided. Captains of both teams will be allowed to inspect the replacement ball to ensure its appropriateness.
4. Team Responsibilities
   1. Each team will nominate 2 players who will serve as umpires for different matches. Other than these volunteers, no one else will serve as an umpire. The intent of this rule is to develop “professional” umpires who apply rules consistently.
   2. Each team will nominate an additional player to serve as scorekeeper.
   3. Umpires and scorekeepers will be assigned to CAP matches such that neutrality and fairness are ensured.
5. Each team should arrive 15 minutes before match time.
6. Matches may be played on weekdays and weekends.
7. In case of inclement weather, matches will be resumed on a different day from the point where they were interrupted.
